Fans raise £750.00

08 October, 2008 | 15:10

A number of fans from andymurray.com had the opportunity to meet Andy at work last week, handing over a cheque to the Make-a-Wish foundation in the process.

They raised the money in a raffle over the duration of the Davis Cup tie against Austria, and the Make-a-Wish foundation will benefit to the tune of £750.00 as a result.

Having supported the foundation at Wimbledon this year, Andy invited the forum members down to the National Tennis Centre to say 'thank-you.'

The LTA kindly laid on a tour of the facility, with the fans able to watch Andy train before having lunch with him and Jamie.

A spokesperson for Make a Wish Foundation said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Andy who has been a big supporter of Make a Wish. His support will help us to create our magical wishes for the 370 children we are currently trying to help.”
