More footy

If the last 48 hours are anything to go by, five-a-side football will be a recurring theme over the next few days.

With Andy taking a deliberate break from the tennis courts until Friday, a kickabout gives him the chance to stretch his legs.

And with another intense, 30 minutes each way match today, the fitness is nicely topped up too.

The players were coming out of the woodwork for today's game - it was 5-a-side on Wednesday, but 6-a-side today.

Amongst the new additions, Colin Beecher, who looks after some of the younger players at the NTC...

'Beech' is a decent player and chipped in with a couple before rushing back in for an afternoon session on court.

Truth be told, there were a few people puffing after the match, including Andy. At least he was on the winning (6-3) team...

Andy's coach Miles was on the losing team and took himself off for a breather on the grass. Miles tends not to like losing at things...

After a quick shower, Andy and Jamie had a meeting to talk through the design and fit of their Fred Perry stuff for next year...

It's an interesting process, which is all the more important to pro athletes. Whilst we might just size clothes up in a 'well, it kind of fits' kind of way, these guys have to feel totally comfortable in it day after day.

Every little detail is looked at, with feedback taken on items from last year.

So now you know, a lot of work goes into making sure that shirt sits absolutely right on his shoulders. They even discussed how the fit of the shirt changes over the course of a match.

Some inspiration for Wimbledon this year maybe? Arthur Ashe at Wimbledon in 1968. The stuff Andy was looking at today looked great...

And that was it for the day. Just time for a big plate or two of food for Andy and Jamie. Jamie made a bit of mess of his baked beans, but that'll happen if you eat with your eyes closed...

More tomorrow...
