Great Britain's Davis Cup tie with Austria is finely poised at 1-all after  both countries shared the spoils on Day 1.

Alex Bogdanovich started brightly against the Austrian No. 1 Jurgen Melzer, taking the first set before going down in four, 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 6-1.

Andy then breezed past Alex Peya in straight sets, 6-4 6-1 6-3, no problems at all.
