Back on Hardcourt

No grass today. Rained overnight, so the late call was to head down to the NTC and hit for a bit on the hardcourts.

With the Surbiton tournament moving onto the Roehampton hardcourts, the guys had to wait around for a while before getting out there.

Chance for Dani and Andy to show just what they feel about Treacle.

Treacle's in that picture somewhere...

Turned out that they wouldn't be able to get a court for a while, so they headed indoors for a warm-up.

Been a while since I saw them play tennis/football, and they've raised the bar.

Seriously competitive these days with all sorts of new shots...

One quick break in play as Mario Ancic strolled down the balcony to see what was happening. Him and Andy had a quick catch-up, then it was back to it...

Dani and Treacle were the other team. Interesting variation on the high five...

Warm-up done, they hit the court for a couple of hours.

Dani and Miles at one end, Andy at the other. Whole heap of drills....

Including the volley which we'll probably be seeing a fair bit of over the next few weeks...

And with a bit of luck, a few players chasing down the ball at the other end...

They came off court about 45 minutes ago. Showered, had some food, relaxed a bit.

Not much relaxation though: they'll be heading to the gym in the next half hour to do more work.
